Yes, a gap for expansion must be left to allow for natural material movement caused by temperature and humidity changes. Failure to provide adequate expansion space may result in deformation or damage over time. Please refer to the Gap Overview table below to determine the recommended spacing based on your installation requirements.

Translevel / Bendfit
Our TransLevel TL-4010 glass balustrade system has been subjected to static calculations for high glass panels up to 1.4 meters (fall-proof balustrade) and 2.5 meters (partition without fall risk). For high glass balustrades, it is strongly recommended to consider the applicable wind load.
TL-4010
The minimum glass thickness for a glass balustrade depends on the user function, mounting method, location, and height. For a full glass balustrade, a minimum glass thickness of 16.76 mm is recommended to ensure effective fall protection. For situations on a concrete edge, thus with reduced glass height, glass of 12.76 mm can be used. When using a system with aluminum balusters, glass of 10.76 mm is sufficient. Different types of glass can be used. In the Netherlands, toughened laminated glass is most commonly used. The most common glass thicknesses are 88/4 and 1010/4.
Absolutely, maintaining aluminum is essential to ensure durability and preserve the warranty of the glass balustrade. Regularly cleaning the aluminum with a soft cloth and cleaner can prevent the buildup of dirt and corrosion.
According to NEN/EN 1991-1-1, there are three types of line loads categorized into five user classes: Private application (0.5KN; category A and B): Toughened laminated 8/8/4 (17.52 mm) Public application (0.8KN; category C1-C4 and D): Toughened laminated 8/8/4 (17.52 mm) or 10/10/4 (21.52 mm) depending on the building height, wind load area, and balustrade height. Public application (3.0KN; category C5): Toughened laminated 12/12/4 (25.52 mm) or 15/15/4 (31.52 mm) depending on the application, substrate, and balustrade height. User Classes: A: Spaces for living and domestic use B: Office spaces C1: Spaces equipped with tables (e.g., schools, cafés, reception areas) C2: Spaces with fixed seating (e.g., theaters, meeting rooms) C3: Spaces that do not obstruct the movement of people (e.g., exhibition halls, stations, hotels) C4: Spaces where physical activities are possible (e.g., gymnasiums, stages) C5: Spaces with large crowds (e.g., concert halls, sports halls, stands, platforms, etc.) D: Shops
The price of a glass balustrade depends on several factors, such as the profile to be used, the type of glass, the anchoring, the scope of the project, and the complexity of the installation. The geographical location of the project can also play a role. As a rough estimate, the cost of glass balustrades will range between approximately 250 and 1250 euros per linear meter.
Yes, the profiles are pre-drilled and equipped with holes for anchoring and drainage. Additionally, the profiles are covered with a protective film and individually packed in a cardboard box to prevent damage.
Our standard lengths are: 2500 mm and 5000 mm. Raw material is only available in 5000 mm. Do you need special lengths for a project to avoid unnecessary waste? This is possible. Contact us to inquire about the options at [email protected]
TURBOFLEX
Yes. The entire installation process is carried out from the user's side. This eliminates the need for scaffolding or working over the edge of the balcony.
TURBOFLEX is designed for glass thicknesses ranging from 16.76 mm to 21.52 mm, offering a high degree of flexibility for various glass railing applications.
When installing with TURBOFLEX, a 6 Nm torque tool is primarily required to tighten the mounting screws. This ensures certified and consistently reliable installation results.
TURBOFLEX Torque Tool
With the TURBOFLEX system, a glass pane can be installed in about 3 minutes. This significantly reduces installation times and increases efficiency on the construction site.

Conventional systems often require adjustments to the floor profile as well as multiple correction steps. With TURBOFLEX, adjustments are made directly on the glass pane. The mounting system automatically adapts to the position of the glass, significantly reducing installation time, rework, and the complexity of the installation.
TURBOFLEX offers:
FLEXFIT uses a wedge-based adjustment system, while TURBOFLEX does not use wedges and adapts directly to the glass. This makes installation faster and more precise, and significantly reduces the need for readjustments.
